DOG TRAINING APPROACH

Unlike other dog trainers, Keltie isn’t limited to a particular methodology. Thanks to her vast experience, she’s able to bring a broad, balanced and intuitive approach to dog obedience training. Keltie fluently adapts to the dog she’s training, and takes into account the abilities and style of the handler. This results in happy, animated dogs who function out of enjoyment and respect for their owners.

Keltie's Background

Keltie grew up around animals — her family’s pets ran the gamut of dogs, cats, horses, tropical fish, primates and reptiles. In fact, she’s lived with packs of dogs for over 30 years, and has owned and trained dogs from 5 of the 7 CKC groups: Sporting Dogs, Hounds, Working, Toys and Herding.

Prior to pursuing Competition Obedience Keltie enjoyed riding hunter-jumpers (horses).  She’s also well versed in other dog sports and venues, having trained in Field Trials, IPO (previously called Schutzhund) and French Ringsport.

The dog world would be a better, safer place if more dog owners took Keltie’s instruction. We think the world of her and will be forever grateful for the life lessons, knowledge and confidence she has instilled in us.
